Ok so last night we stayed in a town called Truth and Consequences, what a weird name for a town. There wasn't much there but we so should have eaten before we left. We headed to Gila to go see the Cliff Dwellings. They were really cool even though it rained the whole hike up to the cliff and back down. And we spent the whole day in and out of the same Forrest. It was so pretty though up there. Gila National Forrest, we saw weird black and white squirells and deer and elk it was great. Plus the temp was only 66 so we got to cruise with the windows down.
The cliff Dwellings where all we got to do today, since we had to drive through mountions all day just to get back to a real town. I don't know how people live in the middle of nowhere. I would love to camp out there but not leave to get to town with a store or gas it's like 60 miles or more. Crazy. Was sad I didn't get to see an owl while walking around I heard two but could never find them.
I did learn Elk travel in packs and on the road like they own the place we meet eight going to Silver City to get a hotel room. Three packs of males a few miles and part and then a male and female and the male had a huge rack. He would definatley make a nice trophey for someone out hunting.
And that was about all that happened today, pretty much just driving and them hiking to the cliff. Oh and learned today that I do not like New Mexico mexican food they make their enchildas flat and covered with the hottest sauce I have ever eaten. First my mouth was on fire and then my stomach caught on fire. Never again, I miss Texas mexican food.
