!!!!!!!!!!!!!VIETNAM!!!!!!!!!!!!
Finally got to see where my amazing friends live, Au, An, Giang and Tom.
Vietnam wasn't what I expected but i learnt so much within three weeks and I owe it to Giang father. Vietnam still has huge French and Chinese influences and the American war. I ve seen the well developed city HO CHIN MINH city which has everyting you want from really expensive deparmental stores like 'DIMOND PLAZA' to packed markets. I spent most of my time walking in District 1 exploring the old and new in one place.
The first couple days I had the Fantastic Sue! She took me around and was really amazing. I tasted the strongest coffees ever with condense milk but the most mamazing thing here is the coffee shops are a big socal thing! You kow the pubs in UK whell the coffee shops is the pub in Vietnam. It also has a very european feel to them.
Anyway i did the city tour with SIN CAFE touring company i really struggle to understand our guide but he was lovely i must admit! The only thing that effected me was the the War Remmenant Museum. I was shocking the pictures were so graphic I could not stop looking and the video footage of the orange victims were just unberable to watch. I left before it finished! Sue didnt look at the pictures the only question i had was why???? Why do humans cause so much pain to each other because of ideas?
I had a really nice conversation with Giang's father who served in the war about how it all begain and why doesnt American government help the victims and their parents? This conversation was during a blackout it was really cool everybody gathered around the table and having this intense conversation. He made me understand quite a lot 'THE FEAR OF COMMUNISM'
