Well Hellooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Well, i've been in Sydney now nearly a week, and it ROCKS!!! As you know last Friday was spent at the Opera house. Really really entertaining, and it's a brilliant venue. Pretty huge inside as well, as you can see from the photos. After the opear we all went out for some beers. Marc, the lucky boy, won $1,273 on a fruit machine. I mean how can you win $1000+ on a fruit machine. We are getting robbed back home people! Our jackpot is 25 pounds, so we need to have a word with someone and get some improved jackpots! Anyway, we all made Marc pay for our beers, which he happily obliged to do!!
Spent the first 2 days in Bondi Beach, on the outskirts of the city. It's about 10 mins on a train, and then a bus journey. The trains over here have 3 levels though. Yes, a tube is so much more comfy over here. No sweaty armpits or anything like that in your face!!! Spent Saturday shopping, and saw an amazing footbalkler doing tricks in the street. I will try to upload the video so you can all have a look.
That night we spent getting a bit tipsy, and then Sunday eveyone went their seperate ways. Marc, Danny and Luke went off to Fiji, and Rosie and Jim went to see the family. So i was left on my own. Came into the city and moved into Wake Up! I met a few people i had travelled with here, and the Oz bus had turned up so met some guys on there. Went out with all of them that night, and it turned out a real good laugh.
Monday i just relaxed, caught a film in the evening, and waited for Paul to get here. I met Paul on the Oz bus back in Airlie Beach, and had bumped into him again all the way down the coast. So he arrived Tuesday night. Tuesday day was spent at the Aquarium and Wildlife centre. Very interesting and it passed some time for me, so it was a win win! Had a go on the monrail as well, so tried to do a little bit of the tourist things. Met up with Paul, and went to a place called Gaffs on Oxford Street (the Aussies have nicked so many of our names, i mean there is a Hyde Park II here in Sydney, how cheeky is that!!!). I bumped into a lady i used to work with a Cable and Wireless here, Janet, which was the most random thing ever! Funny though. So with the guys on the Oz bus (Sam, Andy, Martin, Richie and Christina), we all partied hard until 4am, crawled into bed, and spent Wednesday walking around Sydney doing all the sites (see photoes!!). Even went up the tower, to get some great views (not as good as New York, up the twin towers, but still looked amazing at night!)
So now it's Thursday, and it's raining! BOOOOOO!! But thats not gonna stop me partying. Brother Nod gets here tomorrow, so we can do all the tourist stuff next week together, and we are even gonna try to get to see Oz Vs South Afric in the Tri-Nations next week. Fingers crossed!!!
Anyway, love to all, and pray for sunshine!
