We left the relatively cool and breezy Costa Mesa climate today and drove into the oven of the San Joaquin valley. We traveled through LA on the 405 and got stuck in the customary stop and go before climbing into the Angeles National Forest. From one novice to another. Finn did a great job piloting the boat for a portion of our return trip from around Balboa Island. I haven't driven a boat in 15 years and Finn began today. Good way to learn a new skill fast.
