Took a trip to Emerald Bay to do a little hiking and check out a 'viking castle'. Back in the day this well to do lady wanted a house that was like the places she knew back in Scandanavia, so she built Vikingsholm.

Three weeks and 2500 miles deep into our trip and we have washed up on the pristine shores of North Lake Tahoe. Finn is starting to really get into the skimboard. Last day in Aptos and we are milking all the ocean we can out of the day. Leaving for Tahoe tomorrow and while we will be getting lots of beach time, it's not the ocean. Salt, sun, and sand. Sweet.

The last day in Aptos, my good buddy Justin put the word out that the session was on. The fog cleared and a bright sunny day unfolded upon us. Some old friends showed up and it was just like old times, old dudes and kids lined up in the shallow end. It really felt like we were home on this leg of the trip, good people and good times. The weather in Aptos this week has been great and we are taking advantage today. With a light breeze and temperatures in the mid 70s we have been dealt a perfect day for relaxing at the beach. Finn is trying his hand at skimboarding and seems to picking it up, while Keegan plays spectator. Sibyl is relaxing with some iphone game time and I'm about to get a little body surfing in.
