Hello everyone.
Nearly 1 week gone already!
After arriving in Nairobi we spent a day and a night catching up on sleep before rattling our way to Uganda on the Akamba 'Royal' bus arriving at dusk. We've spent 4 nights at backpackers hostel in Jinja and have visited the school where Andrew taught in his gap year. They were very pleased to see us - the library is now half completed so many thanks to those who donated money through me 3 years ago. Many of the classroomshave been refurbished and they are hoping that funding will appear soon to finish of the library (about 900 pounds) and completely refurbish the last block (1000 pounds). I will put up photos of the improvements made and to be made when we get somewhere with faster internet.
On Friday we visited the source of the river Nile and played a round of golf above Lake Victoria - I think we managed to get down to just 2 over par on one of the holes!
Saturday we hired mountain bikes and went for a ride round the area.
We have rafting booked for tomorrow (Mon) so will head out to Bujagali falls this afternoon. Hopefully we can go quad biking on Tuesday then a relaxing day by the pool in a nearby hotel on Wednesday before heading to Kampala on Thursday.
Next update hopefully before next weekend.
