The photo is not mine by the way, i havmt gotten the chance to take some phtots yet. Maybe tomorrow!
I've been living in Lund for almost two weeks now so I may forget a lot of the things I saw during the first week. But I will try my very best!
After I left my parents in the airport and got on the plane I was already feeling homesick and not quite sure if I had made the right choice choosing to study abroad. Usually I am quite quiet and reserved so this was a huge step for me.
I arrived in Copenhagen airport sometime around 2:30 on the 19th August, and immediately found the Lund university mentors wearing matching blue t-shirts. They helped us buy train tickets and directed us to the trains below the airport. I remember the train being heavily crowded with exchange students all heading to Lund.
The train ride took us from Copenhagen to Malmö then to Lund. For most of the ride all I could see was grass out the window but for about 10 minutes we travelled across the bridge between Denmark and Sweden. It was amazing; I had never seen such a massive structure. About half way along the bridge a wind farm was visible just on the horizon. This was also a new sight for me and at the time I was so excited about it.
Anyway, we arrived in Lund and many people took shuttle busses to the AF building to register while myself and several other idiots decided it would be a good idea to walk. After walking for 5 minutes I noticed one of the wheels on my suitcase had busted which meant I had to forcefully drag along my 26kg suitcase, but we finally made it. When we arrived I registered in the university, for the SUSA class (Swedish for beginners) and bought a ticket for the shuttle bus to Ikea. By the time I got back to my apartment it was after 6 so I bought a few things in the shop made a snack and chilled out (I don't remember doing anything on the first night but it is entirely possible that I did).
I met so many people that first day and I haven't met any of them since.
