Another day 'on the buses' - sightseeing other areas of NY. Today we jumped off the bus and walked over the Brooklyn Bridge into Brooklyn which gave us an added bonus to our holiday (will come back to this) and then back into Manhattan standing on the steps of the Law Courts made famous by the TV show Law and Order. Took the uptown loop bus which went into Harlem, obviously only the best parts as it didn't seem that bad then finished off the day with a night loo...

Our first day in New York. Took the subway to Coney Island, no rides are open on weekdays now. It was still great to walk along the famous boardwalk though. We then went to visit the Empire State Building, was taken back 11 years ago girls! This time however there were no queues. Still amazing up there. We could see the new Freedom Tower being erected at the site of the WTC. We will see that up close perhaps tomorrow.

New York New York! What a city. Did you know that over 2,500,000 people live in the 'borough' of Brooklyn alone. That's more than Western Australia's total population. Well that was according to our tour guide on the bus hopper tour today. Just a snippet of a lot of info that was shared. OK. Open top bus took us down to Battery Park to catch a ferry to Liberty Island and the Statue of Liberty, a big old greenish lady where you can actually see the moulded panels...

Last day in Toronto and spent the morning at church with the family. (Aren't we good!). Then had lunch at Swiss Chalet - big helpings of food, lots of memories, stories and laughs. Journey to NY started with a hassle. Security going from Canada into USA is unbelievable strict. Queues every where, searches and checks, finger print checks etc etc. But didn't have to weigh cases and didn't have a cavity search so that was in our favour. Currently sitting in acc...

A few days in Toronto sightseeing and visiting friends and family. Great catching up with everyone. Big get together tonight at Huw and Margot's house to meet more. Off to NY tomorrow.
