A trip down to Niagara Falls was on the cards today as the weather was going to be fine. We were accompanied by mum and Aunty Dot. (Like a pensioners day out). Another early start, this time in Calgary . Hired a car (a boring Camry). Drove about 150 miles through spectacular mountain scenery along the Trans Canada Highway to Lake Louise. After a quick walk around Kamloops last night (and a huge meal in a restaurant called 'Fric and Frac' ) we had a good nights sleep. Sat. Started our journey early this morning on the rocky mountaineer. Beautiful weather, and the scenery is breathtaking, (pictures do not do justice). The train meanders through farm land then up through the many gorges and the landscape changes from lush green to almost desert like mountains. Tonight we are in Kamloops and another early start tomorrow will see us going through some more awesome scenery I'm sure.

After a long 10 hour flight from London, arrived in Vancouver just 2 hours later. Time difference taken into consideration. This made for a very long day, but did the oldies have a snooze? Nah!!!
