DAY NINE Saturday 14/05/2011
Today we woke up at Aunt Ce Ce's house, extremely excited about the night ahead. Cake!!! Chilling at the house for a while we hung out with the kids and even ended up quickly heading to one of the strip malls to check out 'Ulta' the famous cheap American make up store. Something similar to Priceline. After that we rushed to get ready for dinner and be on time as we had to get to the Riviera to see... CAKE!!
I had the most incredible ribs in this saloon type bar/restaurant and we caught the train to Union station. Once there we decided it was not worth waiting for a bus and caught a cab. My first American taxi experience consisted of an angry Irish/American dude driving crazily on the wet road. It was awesome.
We arrived at the theatre, it's flashy lights welcoming us and we gladly raced in. I remember turning to Sam and saying;
"I think I could be friends with every single person in here." That's such an odd feeling.
T-shirts were only $20, extremely cheap for concert shirts, so I bought two, one for me and one for the guy who showed this band in the first place.... MY AWESOME, INCREDIBLE BRO.
Though I was upset that the room smelt of beer, bourbon and coke and that I couldn't join in the fun I danced along, screaming the lyrics and smiling with everyone else who couldn't keep still either. I can honestly say it is the best live band I've seen. Only one thing would've made that night better. +3 years...
