Hey again! I managed to find a much better internet cafe somewhere around Oxford Circus (which apparantly is my favorite place so far 'cause all roads/tubes lead here it seems). Time is just flying here and I haven't had a chance to do half the things I would like to...but we did make it to the Tower of London today, by "we" I mean me, Mike McWilliam and his friend (I think his name was Don) who I met up with last night after quite the adventure (Don't worry Mom & Dad, I was only wandering around London by myself at nightime for about an hour or so, jk). But to back up for a minute, I have to tell you about my new hostel friends. Yesterday evening just as I was starting to feel kinda lonely being here by myself, I went for a Strongbow at the pub below my hostel and met these 2 American sisters who are just finishing up 3 months of travel with a weekend in London. Well guess what, they are totally up for Paul Oakenfold at Ministry of Sound tonight!! As the evening progressed we met more people who are not only up for Ministry but asked me if I would like to come to Fabric with them this weekend as well (They wanted to go to both tonight, but the two clubs are quite far apart so im sure I can talk them into just Ministry). Well as you probably know, Fabric was the second club on my list that I absolutely have to visit on this trip because they are pretty much the sole surving "Superclubs" here in London. I'm just glad though that now I don't have to make up a story when I meet people at the club "Oh Im here with a bunch of people, but cant seem to find them right now...." But anyhow, were meeting tonight at 9pm at the hostel, then its off to Ministry (I STILL wont believe it till I'm actually there, ill probably tear-up/cry im not even lying :P you all know how long I've been wanting to go).
So back to today...we checked out the crown jewels and of course all the oh-so-interesting little historical tidbits all over the walls of the castles . Mike was into checking out every little thing written, where I was more interested in looking at cool things and sweet architecture ("there wouldn't be architecture without the history", apparantly). So i A.D.D.'d on outta there to do my own thing once again for the rest of the day, which is perfectly fine by me.
Okay... I'd better be getting to my "homework" now, I have to hand in this course outline to my prof by today. Leave it to Christel-the-procrastinator to have HM in London. It shouldn't take too long and lucky for me although its 6pm here, its only 11am Calgary time so technically I still have plenty of time lol.
So yeah, tomorrow I will hopefully post again to tell you how Ministry went , and will probably check out the London Eye and various other touristy things (granted I dont have TOO much fun tonight :P) Until next time.......Cheers :)
