Hi Christel
Your itineraryy says you will arrive in Vienna on Monday. Don't forget to try some Wiener (Viennese) schnitzel while you're there if you get a chance. Eva and I are getting ready for a week long Peak Potentials seminar in LA. We will leave Monday morning and get back next Sunday. These seminars tend to keep the participants busy from early morning until late at night so there will not be many opportunities for me to post messages, but I will post when I am able in case you find time to read them.
Eva has arranged for someone to pet-sit the pups and cats while we are away and she drove out to meet us and the critters this morning. Her name is Constance and I would guess that she's about your age. She will stay at our place at night and spend most of the day with the critters. I hope she can give Luke and Heidi enough attention so that they won't miss us too much.
I have set the picture of you holding up the Pisa Tower as my desktop background at home today. Great picture!
Have fun,
Love,
Dad

Hi Christel , I hope you had an awesome trip, judging by the photos you did, see you soon!!!! XOXOXOXO

Hi Christel,
Even though you're not updating your blog right now, I hope you'll check for messages once in a while. I'm amazed you were able to post as much as you have since your tour is already so busy by itself. I will look forward to talking with you about your trip after you get home. The pictures that you posted really brighten up my day when I look at them. I have the one of you in front of the Eiffel tower as my desktop background at work today.
I just wanted to say that I'm thinking of you and I hope you make use of the info that Eva sent. If you're still interested in skydiving when you get home, I may be able to give you some tips, although it has been a long time since my last jump.
Lotsa Love,
Dad

'ello ma dear!!
So your last phone call was the CLOSEST we ever came to actually talking to each other. I heard the phone ringing, reached over to pick it up cuz I figured it might be you, but when I went to open it up to talk.. nothing. It'd already gone to voicemail. I think the moral of this story is: Call me twice!! The other time you called, when you figured it wasn't too late in the evening, I was in bed. Asleep. I went to Tiesto on Thursday night and literally took the whole weekend to recover. Yup. The whole long weekend! AGH!
Anyways, Carsen's phone isn't working right now so I'm afraid you're just going to have to keep calling my phone. I have the phone on loud when I'm not at work and after missing your call for the THIRD TIME it never leaves my side now. If I'm at work it's on beep so I'll at least hear it. If I don't pick up the next time you call forget the voicemail message - just hang up and call back again. I'll pick up (I hope....!!!) the second time at the very latest. If this doesn't work I will cry!! :(
I'm glad you're having fun though hun, and I completely understand the home sickness - been there, it SUCKS!! Enjoy Europe as much as you can while you're there though cuz it'll be over before you know it. Live in the present, we'll all be there in the future. :) Miss ya!!

Hi Christel,
We looked at your latest pictures today, three more albums! I'm impressed you can find time to upload so many pictures. It's so good that you can share your experiences.
My favorite is the one of you in front of the Eiffel Tower. You look very spohisticated! It's good when you can get in the picture. I was glad to see you smile more in the Monaco and Florence / Pisa albums.
Lotsa Love,
Dad

Hi Christel,
Thanks for taking the time to keep us updated on your trip. I watched a slide show of your photos. For me, I thought I was watching a foriegn movie with my daughter the lead star. Two of my favorite shots were you holding up the Eiffel Tower (nice camerea trick), and modelling for the sports cars. You did that very well. They probably want to hire you as their spokes model. Your choice of shots is really cool. It was also nice to somewhat meet your travelling companions. Say hi to them for me. I can see that it is very hot there. Hope you don't melt. Mrs. Mudie is on a Medeterainian cruise right now. She took along with her a collar that she wears cold to bear the heat. The campgrounds look very interesting. You can stand up in the tents. Very impressive. What an experience Miss Canadia!
Take good care! Grandma sends her love and so do I.

Hi Christel,
Eva and I looked through your London album. It seems that you saw a lot while you were there. I especially enjoyed seeing your smiling face. In the pictures at the tube station and at the eye, you look so mature!
I guess they don't allow pictures of the crown jewells at the Tower of London. Did you see the ravens? The Tower bridge is very interesting. You have some nice shots of it. I think I recognised some other landmarks like St. Peter's and Buckingham Palace.
I enjoyed the whole album - it's great to have a glimpse of the things you are seeing and doing. I hope you'll have time to post more albums.
Have fun and remember you're always in my thoughts and my heart!
Lotsa Love,

Hi Christel,
It sounds like you are having lots of fun. Your Dad told me that you bought a phone card in Europe. That will probably be pretty expensive for the whole three weeks.
Next time you call, call the 'Canada Direct' number from the country you are in at the time (at the bottom are the numbers). This way your calls will be charged at the Canadian rate here in Calgary at that particular time (night rate/day rate) and not the European rate. The system will ask you a bunch of questions, e.g. the service provider you are with; press whatever number for Telus, then just follow the instructions from the Telus system. I think, first you have the choice between using your calling card, making a collect call or charging the call to a different number.
I am assuming that you do not have a calling card, or do you? If not, choose the option to 'charge the call to a different number', then follow the instructions. I have never chosing that option, therefore I don't know what the system will ask you. Your Dad said that you can call him collect the next time you choose to call him.
Canada Direct numbers from:
Italy * 800-172-213
Switzerland * 0800-558-330
Austria 0800-200-217
Czech Republik 800-001-115
Germany 0800-888-0014
Netherlands* 0800-022-9116
England 0800-559-3141 or 0800-096-0634
(* from a public phone you might need coins or a phone card
I hope that helps. Have lots of fun. Enjoy Heidelberg in Germany. I have never been there.
Best wishes,
Eva

Hi Christel,
I enjoyed reading your latest blog entry, It sure does sound hectic, but you seem pretty good at squeezing a lot of life into a limited time! Glad to her that you're having such a good time. Be careful of them Aussies - they're a pretty wild bunch! (J/K!!!)
Next thing you know, they'll convince you to go walkabout "down under"!

Hi Christel,
It was nice to hear from you the other day. Even though you're a bit homesick you sounded relaxed and ready for adventure. Time passes all too soon and before long you'll be back home with many, many stories to tell and compare notes with your dad. I've heard from your friends at your bon-voyage party that people that travel have a better understanding of what they want from life.
My latest lesson in life is don't sit on a wasp, it will sting you in the butt.
Happy travels,
Love you,
Mom
