Hey everyone, Im in Rome right now but will write about Florence and Pisa too. We had our full free day on Saturday in Florence so we got to do whatever. It was amazing and exhausting. I didnt see the statue of David or that painting of the naked chick in a sea shell but checked out the serial killer museum it was very creepy. Im not going to catch up with my blogs on this trip because were a lot busier than I expected but I also have to get my head out of Canada because really, it will be over before I know it then ill have all the time in the world in Canada. (The Aussies have been calling it "Canadia" and my nickname is "Miss Canadia"). But yeah, Florence was amazing, just gorgeous. Once again, each place seemed to be better than the last. (I reckon I could live in Cinque Terre for ever). Rome contradicts this trend though, I think. Yesterday we had a 5 hour walking tour and I didnt find it all that exciting, Maybe I was just too exhauted, I dunno. Last night we had a toga party (how cliche, I know ) and today is another "free day". Supposedly the queue for Vatican City is ridiculous, so were going a little later in the afternoon. Its soo frikken hot here I think a lot of time will be spent at the pool after I get my token photo with the colleseum etc (Such a hard life).
Okay on that note, Im going to get going...Im uploading a few albums right now too. Oh yeah, update on mission absynthe: I took some pics of it at this wine shop is Florence but will grab it in Prague because apparantly it originates in Czech. Thanks for the calling info Eva, I will definitely give that a go. I cant wait for Germany and Switzerland, we are gonna do some whitewater rafting and either hangliding or skydiving (skydiving is 250 euros though so I dont think people are into that It would still be awesome to do my first skydive in the Alps even though Id probably have a heart attack lol)
Kay Ciao! Missing you all lots! Christel
