Day 2 was a little colder, but we stuck it out just like the locals. Speaking of locals, we even bought breakfast from their supermarket, Salisbury. To our surprise it was rather inexpensive and everything was so fresh! My favorite pastry from the bakery was the chocolate stuffed croissant, let's just say we had one every day of our stay. Today we headed on over to the British Museum, which is also relatively far in walking distance. According to Sandy, it was enlightening, eye opening, and makes you realize that history is what makes us. It is a huge museum so we only went through Egypt, Rome, Greece, overall Europe, China, and Native American sections. After we walked through Soho and made our way to St. Paul's Cathedral. We were all excited to go into this mesmerizing cathedral, to find out that it's 14£ per person. At least we can say that we've been there :) So I kept on telling Sandy that we HAD to go to the Tower of London and London Bridge, because we can't go to London and NOT visit these landmarks. He insisted that we didn't have to go because it was an even farther walk, but I got my way. On the way there, we saw this huge, amazing, glass building that turned out to be a mall! And got immediately excited when I saw H&M! Then, we finally got to the London Bridge and well, I was pretty disappointed. It's pretty and all but I guess my expectations were too high. At this point we were so far from the hotel that there was no doubt we were not walking back, so we took a double decker bus! My first time ever!! It was so cool and you get a completely different point of view of the streets, and we got to the hotel A LOT faster than if we would have walked. That night we went to Picadilly again and after walking around trying to find something to do, we ended up in our first English pub! Rock music was blasting, everyone having a good time, people trying to speak over the music, but we wouldn't have had it any other way. Even though we went to this pub late at night, these British drink beer how we drink water, at all hours of the day you'll see people drinking at these pubs.
