Mike and Claire are in town for one day only on their way to the Munich Beer Festival, so we all met at Piccadilly Circus to find somewhere for lunch. After a short walk to Leiscester Square we ended up back at the Rainforest Cafe. It's a resturant Ian and I found a few years back behind the Trocadero. The resturant is decorated so as you feel that you are sitting in the forest with elephants that trumpet, Gorillas that dance and monkeys who swing. It was great to see them both but a bit sad that the recession has caused them to call off their plans to work in Ireland for a year. At least they'll get to see some beautiful things traveling around Europe.
After lunch we took a short tube trip to South Wimbledon to check out the old family home in Cecil Rd. We were very impressed as we entered the street, it was easily the best it's looked in a long time. Most of the houses have been done up or are in the process of. With not a couch in sight and the door no longer purple number 19 has returned to it's old self. Unfortunately the weather was starting to close in and Ian was starting to show signs of the having caught Sally's bug so we headed straight home.
