Our last day in Paris started off fine and sunny. Went down to the Tram station to purchase our Mobilis tickets to get around for the day.
First stop is the Cite de Sciences et de l'Industrie (sort of a hands-on science museum). Quite pricey but a lot to do. Situated in a large park to the north of the city centre, it was pretty devoid of people. Evidently, the locals don't come near it.
Walked through the submarine "Argonaut", great animated film in the planetarium celebrating 50 years of man in space and ended with a movie in the Imax theatre on the Alps......thought we recognised a few places that we'd been through too. Only had time after all that to take in a few of the other exhibits.
Was looking decidely stormy by the time we came out and caught the metro to Montematre and Sacre Cour, but the sun stayed out for our walk around and stroll back down the hill.
Then headed for La Defense. Amazing modern 'arch' and shiny office buildings....must be a million people working in this suburb! Wind was getting up and temperature dropped sharply, so went into a large mall and found a chinese restaurant for dinner.
By the time we'd finished and headed down to the metro the skies had open and it was raining really hard. Went on to the Trocadero with the intention of a last look at the Eiffel Tower and a souvenir for Tom, but it was too wet and cold. So back on the metro and a couple of line changes, to our hotel. Luckily in the time that that took us, it had stopped raining.
Time to start re-packing.........
