Well i guess you could say it's almost been twenty four hours and i've finally reached the first part of my destination. We got into Bangkok at around 11:30am, with the whole day still ahead of us. (Besides, who needs sleep anyways.) We took a cab to the place we are staying, which is waaaay nicer then i expected. Ashley has booked our first couple nights so it's good. There are a couple other people here doing their c\various travel itinerarys. As for ours, we are only planning to stay in the city for another day or two. It's like a cross between china town, miami and new york..the dirty part here, but i think i might just think of it that way becasue i don't necessarily like the city anywhere..IT sucked..i wore the wrong sandles and my feet hurt so bad, i had to buy new ones...but other then that it was interesting just walking around the not so hot part of town. We went to a Japanese/Thai restraunt for dinner...we're still not sure about what food we can eat..so i guess i'll find out tonight.
So tomorrow we are planning on getting up nice and early, find the canadian embassy, go to the emerald buddha temple, and book a bus to start heading south towards the beautiful beaches and islands. It's nice that the place we are staying has locks and is clean..but this isn't where anyone should be when in thailand, like i said, all big cities are the same...gotta find the sweet spots.
I'll try to keep updating, but as i head out of the city i am not sure what access will be like. Thanks for comin out.
