We left Bangkok and travelled to Siem Reap in Cambodia on the 13th March. First place to visit was the temples at Angkor Wat. It is hard to describe and do them justice, as they cover a very large site and are many and varied. They are truly awe inspiring and we spent from 7:30AM until they closed at 5:30PM cycling around the site. We arrived in Thailand on the 9th March. It is very hot, a big shock after Nepal. The tourism authority provide free bikes to cycle around the sites, therefore this had to be taken advantage of by ourselves. Well it has been an interesting week since our last entry. We spent most of the night in Bhaktapur throwing up. This is not the first time that the hotel has had problems with food poisoning, and now their contract is under review. We are on a treking tour. It is a very small group, only 5 of us; Amy from Orgegon and two journalists from London; Simon and Tamara. The first day we visited the big Hindu temple in Kathmandu, as it was to be Shiva's birthday the next day (an important hindu god) many people had travelled for extra blessings the next day.
