erbrewer We're going to go up the A9 in the end. Brave the steep hill out of Helmsdale. We're also going to Dunnet Head so long day tomorrow.
Raeph Been there! I remember our little Ford Fiesta having a hard time driving up to it so WELL DONE cycling!
re: Kirkstone pass InnRaeph Awesome, well done guys, I'm certainly impressed. Maybe fly next time though eh, it's a lot quicker :-)
re: Made it to John o' GroatsKen Congratulations!!!! Well done, time to relax now and let those muscles recover. Then plan the next adventure.
re: Made it to John o' GroatsMalka I am glad to see that you are human after all having ache and pains. Part of the fun, - last day HURRAY, no pictures –is it luck of energy? Love Mum
re: Day 13: It’s the final count down!erbrewer Haven't spotted any battered haggis yet! Will have an aftershock in Edinburgh just for you :)
re: Day 11: What! No Corgis?erbrewer We're going to go up the A9 in the end. Brave the steep hill out of Helmsdale. We're also going to Dunnet Head so long day tomorrow.
re: Day 13: It’s the final count down!Ken Good going. The end is in sight and feels closer as the road signs start to show John O'groats. Which route will you be taking? Enjoy the last few miles. Well done!
re: Day 13: It’s the final count down!Penny Awesome! I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice-cream!
re: Day 12: Hills. Ha! I laugh in the face of hills!Toni Don't forget the battered haggis with brown sauce also. And, scotland is the place where I developed a bit of an aftershock habit in my youth so I think you better have one of those in my honour as well!
re: Day 11: What! No Corgis?Ken Nearly there, only a few more climbs to go. Enjoy the culmination of the journey and savour the achievement. I hope the weather is kind for you during the last miles.
re: Day 12: Hills. Ha! I laugh in the face of hills!Penny Touring sounds like riding for IM training! haha Loving your blog, it is my breakfast reading. Always interesting and makes me miss you less as I hear your voice reading it to me in my head.
re: Day 9: The B709 – Best Road in BritainAnn Well done to both of you! I'm sorry we missed you in the lakes but our journey north on friday was somewhat hampered by nasty accidents on the M6 and terrible rain so we didn't get to Ambleside until 8pm and still had an hours journey to Wast water. Hope the rain holds off and i'm looking forward to reading about your adventures accross the highest A road tomorrow.
re: Day 10: Cold + Wet + GrumpyKen. I am still avidly following your blogs, good to hear that you are surviving so well. Could this be the start of a new life style? Keep up the good work, enjoy the last leg and drink in the scenery. I would prefer to be cycling through the country side than sitting on the train which was over 2 hours late getting home.
