Right, so I'm here in Barcelona. After much deliberation on my accommodation I've chosen the perfect spot (I would never not take forever to decide them choose the very best). I'm staying in the Gothic quarter in this amazing old building. The streets are winding and narrow and full of character and class. This place is crazy, like busy crazy, crazy. The streets are full up, packed with people and to be perfectly honest I have no idea where I am! I didn't invest in a map and relied upon the host directions to get me here. It's clear that I'm going to stay here all 6 nights to explore this place, vacate and relax... there's tons to do and I have found a great spot to do it from.
James the flat host is great- tons of info, super friendly Aussie who works in the city as an architect, seems keen on what he is doing and has found a great little niche in social community design. There are 4 rooms in this place, all occupied by travelers. Mine faces the narrow street that teams with the excitement bellow. It has a balcony with giant wooden doors, that will most likely stay open in this muggy heat. There's no fan though... we'll see how that goes.. it's HOT, thick moist air that you can swim in hot, engulfing your body... Hot. No moisturizer needed... ever ;)

Emily Yes- this is the view from the balcony of my room!
Marilyn Pitman whoa! that is so narrow and different...especially from a Sooke perspective. We had one muggy day this summer so you tooke them with you - thanks! The city sounds so interesting.
