Emily's Trip
hey everyone!
how are you all? good i hope...
nothing as exciting today as booking nomad trips or anything but a nice day at cotlands so i'll give you an update on that:
today we werent given any cleaning to do - YAY!!!! so we got to play and help with the kids all day which is what we came here to do really and it was fun! was quite hectic actually, we got 4 new kids come in today... they seemed to sort of miraculously appear out of thin air! in the morning however we were playing with the kids, feeding them their tea, helping give them their medication (they give it to them in a syringe like they do with animals), and just generally having a giggle with them. the first two kids to come in: OH MY GOD!!!! its twins, one boy and one girl. they are apparently one month old but i swear to god they look more like premature babies than their real ages... at present they have no names so gem and i spent a lot of the day thinking of really english names that we can give them and after a long while of consideration (all day) we came up with little grace and tom! what do you reckon?!?!?
well a little slot of the day was spent cooing over our new arrivals - come on who wouldn't!!! the two other arrivals were these: one older girl who must've been about 7, about selina's age - it was quite good having her there simply because it gave selina something to do, but oh they were trouble together! the other only came about an hour before we left so i really didn't find out much, it was a little girl who looked very dopey (maybe just because she was completely disorientated) and would've been placed at about 9/10 months old if a normal child, in other words i have no idea how old!
we also heard nice news that michaela who was due to be fostered on the 23rd but it fell through has actually now been put back with her family. apparently they were harsh alcoholics and such before hand but have really cleaned up their acts and passed a 'fitness test' from social services and got her back... so that was nice to hear!
it turned out to be a really nice day in the end so we took the children out into the garden where they have swings, a slide, all sorts of toys and stuff and i was rocking baby daniel on the swing and he just passed out... was adorable - his face all scrunched up against his chin, fast asleep with his dummy and all that malarchi, then he got whisked away to have a bath and i was like 'oh!' but then sure enough it was ronalds turn and the same result - he was funny thought, looked like a baby in an old mans position, very hard to describe but me and gem found it rather amusing lol. he however only awoke to throw up rather dramatically mud and grass and all sorts of crap he had found in the garden lol! loooooooovely!
there's all sorts of new little pieces of information about cotlands, sahke walked on his own for the first time, nadine is standing up for much longer now etc etc etc but i cant remember and wont bore you will all of them but all in all it was a fun day.
will update again soon
lots of love to all
miss you all lots and cant wait to see you
