Ems and Steve Travelling
Hey everyone!
Hope all is well!
We finally left rubbish Brisbane on Tues morning and arrived in Noosa at about 1.30pm! Noosa is beautiful! We sorted out our room and then were dropped off at sunshine beach by the shuttle bus. We walked (as the sunsetted) through the national park and along the coast. There were some great views! We ended up at the beach which was nice too. That night we ate in the bar at the hostel as the food was quite cheap and really yum! We met an Irish couple Aoife and Richard and we had a few drinks with them (until the bar closed)!
On Wednesday we went to Australia Zoo, the best zoo I have ever been to. It is owned by Steve Irwin and his wife and it is all about educating people about wildlife so is really hands on! The animals all have really big cages too! As well as seeing all the animals we saw a tortoise show, snake show, tiger show, bird show and crocodile show which were all about the animals natural behaviours and what to do if you find one in the wild (very possible in Oz)! We also held a koala and had a pic taken and fed some elephants! The kangaroos are also running free in part of the zoo! We also donated some money to tigers (did you know there are only 5,000 left in the wild) they were amazing animals and the zoo has 5 which they have bred from 2 weeks old. We watched them swimming and playing!
After a long day at the zoo we were exhausted. We had dinner in the bar again and watched Carl Lynch (a guitarist) play then headed to bed!
This morning we caught the bus to Hervey Bay! We have had our briefing and we're embarking on a 4x4 self drive safari tomorrow on Fraser Island (the biggest sand island in the world). We'll let you know how it goes!
