Hello! Sorry for not updating recently but after 26 hours of travellng my brain just wouldn'tfunction.
After a 4 hour delay in LA i finally made it to Sydney much later than expected, and was greeted by Barney the dog who was less than impressed to see me, however now we are best of friends.
After i arrived i sat on the deck and waited for everyone to arrive home - it was great to see them after so long! With jetlag i was very impressed i managed to last until 9 to get to bed, but then i crashed heavily.
Today everyone went to tgeir respective places and i woke up later and set off on my own little adventure to the city. I was very nervous setting out about navigating myself there on the buses, but following detailed instructions from uncle Chris i'm proud to say i made it! I first off went to circular quay to watch the ferries for a bit - so many!! And then walked on to thhe opera house. It was very cool to see it, however felt like a bit of an anti climax as it's not very big and i've seen it in so many pictures! Still, it was cool to see and i tried to take many arty pictures... I the waljed on along the sea to the royal botnaic gardens, which were beautiful, even in winter, although i didnt recognise ANY plants or trees. I also have never seen so many people running in my life. More runners than walkers, i felt really guilty i wasnt running myself. After a stroll there i walked back to the quay and hopped on a free ferry to cockatoo island. Unfortunately no birds, but a lot of cool modern art there, based around the islands industrial (if quite short) history, and history as a prison. It was very cool and very interactive as well so i was glad i went!
I returned to the quay again and this time hopped on a ferry to manly beach, probably the 2nd most fampus beach in sydney after bondi. The ferry ride through the harbour was great, i got to see the harbour bridge and the opera house from the water, as well as taking in the beautiful scenery further out, especially as i braved the chill and sat outside. The beach was cool to see, although very empty, and i didnt hang around long as it started to rain so i went back home.
George was there when i got back after finishin an exam, and then when auntie C got back he went off to work for the night, and then uncle c and alexa arrived home and we had dinner and a long chat. It is now 11pm and i am shattered somam going to bed. Night all!
