After out 2 bus journeys we caught taxis to the hotel. I was talking to the taxi driver and he looked at me like I was a freak and asked if I could speak proper English...I told him I was from England.
Dumped my bag and straight out for a look round the area, saw some of the old town and walked up a big hill....again the historical facts are wasted on me, something about a guy having his arm chopped off. After lunch I went for a little walk with Charlotte & Amilie, we ended up in a mosque being shown round by a very nice lady. It's a good job I'm not Muslim because for one I couldn't bear the sweaty hot outfit and two it makes me look enormous.
After getting lost we eventually found the hotel and before you know it, it's time to go back out for dinner. I seriously need to dye my hair, it's developing a horrible ginger tinge around the edges but I just don't ever seem to get time to do it.
Dinner was lovely but expensive - ten whole pounds!...I think it'll take me a long time to adjust to paying English prices again.
Monique said she's trying to prepare us for Singapore prices, I've got my credit card ready.
We took a boat ride after a look round the market which was selling the same crap I've seen at every other market, I did buy some sunglasses though because I think my others made me look like Austin Powers.
Tomorrow we leave for a very short visit to Singapore and say our goodbyes. Starting another group on Sunday, I have high hopes.
