Right well I haven't updated this in ages and have done so much it'll take me hours to fill you all in so I'll try and keep it brief!
CHRISTMAS EVE- Ok so Christmas Eve was funny. We went to the Mean Fiddler and had a few drinks but don't worry didn't get drunk nothing worse than being hung over on Christmas Day. Not like Christmas Eve's in England though it was actually hot! and they didn't play Christmas songs! I went over and requested some and the DJ was like 'yeah what a good idea' like it had never occurred to him before very strange!
CHRISTMAS DAY- Had a lovely day and Santa even managed to find me all the way in Australia. Got presents and cards so was well chuffed but a tad homesick. Was just hot enough without being too hot. Had the full traditional English Christmas dinner which I bet wasn't easy as there were 18 of us for lunch but everybody chipped in and it was very nice (Thank you Pam!). Dave got the karaoke machine out later on when everyone was drunk and everyone was forced to sing a song (luckily you couldn't hear me and Kat for Beckys screaming ha ha) but had a good laugh.
BLUE MOUNTAINS- On Boxing Day we went to the Blue Mountains. These are absolutely beautiful (see picture above) and are actually visable from Beckys house. They have a blue mist over them because of the vapour from the eucalyptus trees. We went on some cable cars and sky lifts with glass bottom floors wit woo and the worlds steepest railway FACT! That was actually pretty scary because it was literally a vertical drop and I got the pleasure of been on the end with nothing to stop me from falling on so just hung on for my life! Got some nice photos which we'll post asap.
HAWKESBURY RIVER- Went to Becky's caravan for 2 days by the Hawkesbury River. Her cousin has a speedboat and rings, tubes and water skies etc so spent most of the time just messing about on that. It was well funny actually. We got drunk around the fire at night and played games which we're quite difficult actually and had really embarrassing forfeits ha ha. Me and Kat lost a couple of times but somehow Becky who is usually gay at those games managed to do really well, think it must be the practice.
NEW YEARS EVE- wow new years eve was awesome! We had all bought new party dresses (even though it took me 3 days to find some bloody shoes apparently noone in Australia has size 7 feet ha ha) and we looked very pretty. Me, Bex, Kat, Becky's brother Chris, and her cousins Sarah and Kim got tickets to go to Star City a casino in Darling Harbour right in the city. There were about 4 bars and different floors one with a latin band on which were fab to dance crazily to and 2 big balcony's which overlooked the harbour and the city. We had front row view of the fireworks and they were amazing honestly! Tried to take photos but it wasn't happening so gave up. After fireworks we got really drunk on champagne and danced all night. Becky was then off playing the tables in the casino and been told to keep the noise down because she was too loud! And i pretended to be off Eastenders and had to sign autographs and have my picture taken with randoms ha ha. Finally got home about 7:30 the next morning and then slept the whole of the next day!
FEATHERDALE- went to a wildlife park called Featherdale near Becky's. Got some good photos of us feeding kangaroos and stroking Koala's and stuff. Was a really sweet little place actually.
BONDI AND COOGEE- Went on a road trip to Bondi and Coogee yesterday (probably spelt wrong sorry Becky i know i always get it wrong!). Both were absolutely beautiful beaches but a little busy. The surf was narly ha ha, got smashed a few times riding the waves but my bikini stayed on better this time. Had a little disaster getting lost on the way home with NavMan thinking it was a good idea to take us through the city but of course as you can imagine Becky didn't stress at all!!!! I was sensible and put on suncream on as it was bloody boiling but those 2 tried to man it (actually think Kat put some on) and went out to the Fiddler last night looking like a pair of tomatoes ha ha. Their faces were actually glowing! but at least they caught it and they'll go brown unlike pasty little me!
Done loads of other stuff that I either can't be bothered to tell you or have forgotten about right now, but will post some photos up as soon as possible which will probably fill in all the blanks.
So today we are a little hung over from last night and it is sooo hot, think the australian summer has finally kicked in. Tomorrow is our last day at Becky's so think we are going to the water park yeah!!! and on Monday me and Kat are back on the road and getting a flight to Melbourne. It'll be weird lugging our backpack around again and sleeping in dorms. Will miss Becky loads has been so nice to see a friendly face and her family have been absolutely amazing and made us feel very welcome, thank you.
