Not a lot to report from Alice Springs, only that it's very hot (ave 38c), it's surrounded by the MacDonnell Mountain Ranges and it has a dried up river running through it called the River Todd on which the todd regatta is held annually whereby competitors carry boats along it and race to the end! The Aussie sense of humour eh!
My days have been spent doing washing, writing emails and generally relaxing by the pool. I have been to the School of Air, a central broadcasting station where teachers broadcast school lessons to children of the outback, and a Kangeroo Sanctury that looks after baby joey's whose mothers are killed in road accidents in the Outback.
Now that the batteries are recharged and the red dust has been washed out of my clothes and my hair, I'm looking forward to my next 6 day trip up to Darwin...
