Just catching up - your poor arm! At least you have an offensive weapon that you won't have to check in at the airport. Really looking forward to catching up when you get back home. Alex is desperate to hear all about the mountain biking and has his own war stories and injuries to console you with.
lots and lots of love, Em
Tom
Sounds like you are back in the saddle again! Fantastic. Running out of trail to ride though... looking forward to seeing you in a few weeks.
Tom
Was it really less than 4,000 Bolivian? That is less than £400! Next time I smash my arm up doing uninsured adventure sports overseas, I'm doing it in Bolivia!
Glad you are okay (?!).
Love
Tom.
Paul
Good luck with the solo part of your epic trip Em.

Excellent! We always seem to have clouds when we get to landmarks too!
I've been thinking you through it each day but hadn't expected you back yet.

6:30 am !!! Why the lie in ?
Very envious.
Paul
Well, your blogs have definately brightened up the start of a season of cold and damp weather. Gone are the warm hazey Summer rounds of golf. Now all I've got to look forward to on the course is a biting chill and mud! Great!!
You really are packing in all the sights and sounds Em. Your trip to the Amazon sounded amazing.
I look forward to seeing your photos when you get a chance to upload them.
Until then
Carolina
Emma, I love that painter. I am so glad that you like it too. I completely forgot when you are going to start travelling so we all at work can keep up with you. I have a feeling that you might be on your way now. In Latin America you always have to be on your guard. For this reason, my husband considers me a psycho but that is because he never grew up in South America like me...I am very happy that you are seeing all these lovely places. It is really unique. Keep in touch and why you are not getting enough sleep? Many kisses, Carolina
Paul
It's official, I'm now totally green with envy! Sounds like you're having a great time of it Em. All these experiences, reminds me of my travelling days. I managed to scale a few volcanoes back then and got altitude sickness the once for my efforts, not good. Still I bet the trip back down was great fun.
I've been thinking about the problem of bag slashing and remembered a backpacker ploy to at least prevent someone from taking your valuables that way. Use chicken wire to line your bag. It might seem a little odd but it will work. The bag can still be slashed but the wire will hold all your belongings safely inside. It's worth a thought, no doubt you can get some in the town. You wouldn't need much to keep those wandering criminal hands at bay!
Emily
Wow Ems, sounds like you're packing loads in! Alex is very impressed by your riding down a volcano - he is offering his services as a downhill riding tutor on your return.
Glad to hear you didn't get your bag slashed (maybe your reputation as a combat queen preceded you?) but look after yourself xx
Mum
Just to let you know we're following your progress. Have fun.
