Emma's Smiley Travels
Hi guys,
A quick update from Brazil:)
We arrive at Foz, and after only 2 days of camping ( i know i am a wimp) and arriving in the pissing down rain i can explain how estatic we all were when we found out we could upgrade and stay in dorms for extra 2 pounds a night:)
We then went to the Igassu falls from the Brazil side we give you a better overal panarama of how big and wide the falls are, and i did take a helicoper ride which was great fun, and i got some great pictures as well:)
While in Foz we had a swimming pool, which was a luxury and on our free day i just sat by the pool, it was fab, after rushing around like a mad thing for weeks, and it was so hot, you didn't feel like doing much else, it was over 40c!!
After Foz we were off to Bonito, where we did lots activites, including absailing down into a cave, i have to say i still think i may have been a bit mad to have done it, but am very pleased i did. Basically going down is great as you slide down (72 metres) into a beautiful cave with rock formations, and you do feel abit like spiderman flying down!! Unfortunately it is the coming back up that is were the difficulties lie, if like me you were under the misapprehention that they pull you up, they don't!! No, you have to pull yourself up with a rope, using your legs on the bar to push yourself up, well 72 metres of that near finished me off!!!
Next we were off in the Pantanal, (Jungle) were we stayed in a lovely farm, and did some safari's night & day to see Jaguars, deer, owls etc it was great. We also went Horse riding again which i did think might be a bit tame after the if slightly dangerous but very fast horses in Tupiza, but it was great we got the horse's galloping, but this time you did feel like you had more of a two relationship with the horse and you could actually get it to stop, which is always good, so am really into horse riding now:)
After the Pantanal we had another couple of long drive days and camping to get to Parati (Emerald coast) where we arrive on Tuesday night:) It is a lovely little beach town with little cobbled streets and nice shops:)
Yesterday i think i may have had the most expensive prawns in history, we order king prawns, without checking the menu and when the bill came we nearly had a heart attack it was basically the same as my dinner that night where i had a starter, & cocktails!!! Oh well that will teach me, always check the menu first!!!
Will send more on Equador soon.
Hope your well, take care
Luv Em:)
