Hi all from the Big Apple!! I was really exicted when i got to New York whilst it was nearing the end of the 1st leg of my trip i was going to meet up with my mum, and she'd never been to New York so it was going to be fab!! On the first evening we unintentionally embarked on quite a long walk from the hotel (33rd Street) to the Rockerfella Centre , but we saw the fab Christmas tree and ice rink, it is starting to feel Christmas to me know, particulatrly as it was absolutely freezing!!! I went from 30.C in the morniing to -10!!! The next few days were jam packed with the usual, Statain Island Ferry, Greenwich village and Empire State Building. On the Empire State Building based on my previous experience which was queuing for over 2 hrs, and then only just being able to stay outside for 10mins as it was so cold.. i though it bext to prepare my mum for the worst... wrap up warm etc... So... not only did we go straight up and there was no queue, it actually wasn't that cold up there, i mean it wasn't sunbathing weather, but it made me look like i was making it all up!!... but i am glad we had such an easy time of it:) We also managed to get a show on 42nd Street, we saw The Producers whichwas great as it is about Broadway shows:) And no trip to New York would be without a vist to Central Park, which was looking fab as it stilll had some snow on the ground, and lots of autumn colours still around. So it's back on a plane to the UK, which i guess will be strange only being back for a few weeks, but looking forward to Christmas!!! More when i get to Oz... Take Care Em:)
