WE WENT TO STEVE IRWIN'S ZOO!!!! Was awesome, caught the free bus from Noosa to the Australia Zoo.....the whole way we watched a video on the life of the legend that is Mr Steven Irwin and then when we got to the Zoo there were huge billboards of him everywhere....we peed our pants on more than one occasion! We went to the show in the Crocoseum (named this because there are Crocs and we get to See 'em - bad joke!) We saw Snakes, Birds, Tigers which were amazing and the best show by far and then, of course the Crocodiles. We were hoping to have Stevey himself wrestling them to the ground etc but no such luck.......by the way, word on the street was that he was in the Zoo that day so we were even more excited than before!! We got to feed elephants, we feed one called Siam and she was beautiful then we went over to the Koala thing and got the stroke one, they were so cute and cuddly but it was so much money to actually hold one so we didn't. We got to stroke the Kangaroos in their inclosure and they were so soft, not how i imagined at all......one of the Mum's had a joey in her pouch and it did not look comfy in anyway shape or form!! Rob seemed to form a bond with the Roos but not quite so much as Amey te Kangaroo Whisperer did.....obviously! By 3/4 of the way through the day we were starting to panic.....still no Steve......so we began a Steve Watch, carefully positioning ourselves on the large wooden Crocodile in the centre of the park we became the Steve Spotters, but to no avail.........WE HATE STEVE IRWIN, how dare he not come and speak to us for at least 7 minutes!!! So now if anyone is interested we have started a Stupid Steve Big Head Irwin club, all correspondance please forward to Oakley or Colden Common.
