Hi to all the lovely people reading this! We are now in Noosa....awesome place, good recommendation Milly!! Staying in the YHA Halse Lodge which is like 2 minutes walk away from the nicest beach, legend. We have just lazed on the beach for the last 2 days but tomorrow we are going to STEVE IRWIN'S AUSTRALIAN ZOO!!!!!!!!!!! The excitement could not be any greater! Also we are going to go to the National Park in the hope of seeing/cuddling some Koalas....we shall see! En route to Noosa we stopped of in Nimbin for a couple of hours...for those of you who don't know about Nimbin, imagine a place that consists of one street, where the majority of the population is made up of hippies, stoners and alternatives and where all over the place there are signs saying things like "Jesus wore Hemp" and "We love are children they are the future, please love them too...we also love our dogs, leave them at home" SU! What relevance do those 2 comments have to each other!!??! Nimbin is the Marijiuana (spelling?) of Australia. Enough said. (Cookies were yummy.) We also went to the Nimbin Candle Factory which was wicked, the way they made all the different candles was so cool to watch. Then we went to Surfer's Paradise for a couple of hours which in our opinion was way too long as it was the worst place in the whole world and possibly the universe...worse than Basingstoke!!! We stayed the night in Brisbane in Palace Hostel, it was a rather eventful night, about 3am this couple were having the biggest domestic along our corridor, worst language and abuse being shouted at each other ever, it ended rather predictably in them being kicked out of the hostel and then arrested on the street....lovely! WE WENT ZORBING!!! Weirdest thing ever, pushed down a hill in a huge inflatable ball filled with water, the three of us (Rob, Ems and Amey) were in a ball together and we just laughed the entire way down...classic. When we got to the bottom Amey thought we had stopped moving and so tried to get up and then the ball rolled and she fell head over heels and landed on her head in the pool of water.....fab!! But seriously, the funniest in ball moment ever! Also Rob was a "speed bump" for another Zorb (lay on the grass and the ball rolled over him!!) Will update the journals soon with news on the Zoo but we go to Fraser Island and the Whitsundays soon so wont be online or anything for a while.....love to you all, miss you lots!!
