After yesterday's 'cyclone' (Lennie's word not mine :D) we woke up this morning to clear blue skys and warm sunshine at 7pm (very early for me especially when I don't have to get up but you can thank my mother for that one...she txt saying that my brothers hurt his arm and leg on holiday - silly boy!!) and decided to go take our breakfast down to the beach..so there we were at 8 in the morning sitting on the edge of the indian ocean eating breakfast and drinking juice (jealous much?!?! :p) watching the surfers...this is what coming here was all about!!! Had to clear our rooms out by 11 as we were heading to Fremantle to stay for a few days which involved our first experience of an Aussie train! Very exciting let me tell you..lets just say it involved 17 transit police and some man's old feet but I won't bore you with the details...you'll have to go to Lennie for that one! Anyway we're now in Fremantle and its amazing..its like this really cute little American colonial town and it has the best buildings...ended up sitting in the park by the sea eating lunch (only a Subway but hey one step at a time people) being stalked by seagulls who seemed to have developed a need to torment Len at all possible times..twas very amusing for me :D Haven't done much else here really just walked around looking at the town..Len has now decided she doesn't want to retire to Cottesloe anymore but to here instead so you better get packing Steffy!! Len's bringing us along! Tomorrow we're going to Rottest if we can find the ferry port but as you all well know me and Len don't exactly have the best track record with finding our way so you never know..it could be another day in the park..should've bought those two way radios Steffy..you'll be regretting leaving those in Millets! Especially as the last ferry leaves at 4.30 and the accommodations closed for winter we'll be stuck on the shore till 7.30 the next morning with no way of contacting someone and nothing to beat the animals away with! Shame on you Steffy shame on you!! I hope you feel guilty :P Had a change of plans for the next few days..we were supposed to be going to Walpole but found out that although we could there we wouldn't be able to get a bus back and would be stranded so thought we'd give that one a miss...go us for doing research...so we're gonna hang around Fremantle and Perth for a few days and then head up to Shark Bay which is going to involve a 13 hour bus drive (not good when we both get travel sick) so we're planning on breaking it up and staying in some town somewhere..we haven't quite decided yet. Anyway its getting late so gonna go prepare for the early start tomorrow...lets see if we actually make the early ferry! Given our track record I think not but you never know!! Bye!!!
