The Weird & Wonderful Adventures of Emma, Len & Jo
Lots to tell you about!! Right, we arrived in Denham at night, so knackered after the excitement of Geraldton which HAS NOTHING THERE!! Our first experience was changing buses and meeting Margaret and Brian!! LORDY! She is like Hyacinth Bucket after drinking a vat of coffee. The first we heard of her was when she started shrieking at Brian (who must be like 65) that he had to fetch her dinner and go to the toilet because she didnt believe him when he said he had already been!! Seriously, her shrieking would put a banshee to shame! She then sat next to me (thanks Emma) for the whole trip to Denham (an hour and a half and she didnt take a breath once! It was past my bedtime woman!). Anywho, we eventually ran away from her and got to our dorm apartment thing and the boys were only watching Only Fools and Blooming Horses! I thought Id gotten away from that! I nearly cried! Anywho, eventually we went to bed and were booked on a tour of Shark Bay the next morning (didnt quite make it to the designated meeting spot cause we were very tired but it was fiiiiiine!) This woman called Jenny took us around and showed us a church and restaurant made completely from shell blocks, and then the quarry where the blocks were cut from. They were literally like bricks made up from little cockle shells, completely naturally which had formed over tons of years and were really pretty! We also went to see the Stromatalites, which are apparantly the oldest living thing on earth, but looked a lot like rocks to me! They lived in a very pretty area though! We then went to Shell Beach, again a beach made up entirely of little cockle shells, no sand, it was so pretty. It was so blooming hot that day, we went to an old telegraph station where they used to do morse code type thing and Emma saw 4 mahoosive spiders when she went to fetch ice creams! We are checking very carefully in toilets before i drop me trews! We then went to a place called Ocean Park (After closing so the bloke took us round without the blooming tourists!) and saw turtles and sea snakes, and fed the fish and sharks - they are so cute! we love the sharks!! There was also a heifer of a cod - it was mahoosive! Bigger than the sharks! Big pig! The Ocean park man felt the need to look after me and Em and warn us away from locals and tell us where we could eat the best fish! Clearly we are so slim now we look like we could do with a good feed! Laters xxx
By the way Lennie forgot to mention something vital that happened to us in Geraldton...as boring a town as it was (seriously there was NOTHING to do!!) we met...drumroll please......THE BANANAS IN PAJAMAS!!!!! It was soooo funny..there we were at a memorial to a ship that sunk sitting at a picnic table and a guy walked past complete with banana head and stripy blue pajamas!!! He also had a bearded friend with the biggest beer belly and we all know how lennie loves big beer bellies!!! I have the best photos so don't panic people I will try and upload them asap!! Love u all Em xxx
