hi guys

ooh first blog entry hope u enjoy reading!

so then its valentines day today and im sat next to a proper sandy white beach, how nice!

first day in bangkok was the 12th arrived mid afternoon, really tired fom the ridiculously long flight. its incredibly hot n humid not that sunny though, surprised maybe stupidly how green everywhere is n its so pretty everywheres such a different culture though. chilled out for a few hours at the hotel which was fairly nice as they come, comfy and close to town with pool so perfect! went out for food which was nice but not quite got the art of ordering yet as what i think im askin for never seems to be that! but yeh good food so far. had a wander down the main road koh san road really livley, so cool to be next to. then bed as v knakerd!

day 2 the 13th, got up really early for the free breakfast of course! decided to just have a wander round the maket stalls which are everywhere so hard to get around as its so busy people everywhere but really cool everyones very friendly. tried to make our way down to the river not a clue where we were (didnt help that we didnt know our position on the map at all) bumped into some crazy thai man who pointed out where we were for a start and showed us where to go and what there was to do which was nice so gettin excited by this point. next thing we know hes put us in the back of a tuk-tuk and were hurtlin at stupid miles an hour down a busy road about fallin out! really thought we wernt surviving that for a while! alot of fun though has to be done!

so he took us to a few temples which are so beautifull, really decorative, striking colours didnt stay long, as lots to do n tuk-tuk man hurrying us along. next took us to the T.A.T tourist info not a clue why we were there and the guy helping us didnnt seem to know either but ended up bookin lots of accomodation for the islands which was ace and got student discount!

went back to the hotel went fo a very refreshing swim as its so hot and sticky all the time then off out again grabbed some lunch wandered in the direction we now knew as the river, found it but still no boat trips. again bumped into a little thai man who got us in a tuk-tuk for 5 baht that like 9p and found ourselves at a boat.

now if i thought the tuk-tuk was scary it was nothing compared to a bloody long boat, thought it was going to capsize a few times oh dear me but was fun n we saw loads we wouldnt of otherwise! all the backstreet houses on stilits over the rivers crazy how they live.

ended a wiked day with nice food at a really chilled out bar and a few beers! what more could you want hey!

got up at 4 this mornin the 14th to get on a plane at 6 arrive at koh samui at 7 and be in koh pangan for 8. theyre two island at he south of thailand.

not quite that smooth though. got to koh samui the cutest little airport only one room and conveyor belt thingy and guess what no transfer arrived fo us so already great start! but got a taxi in the end, got on the boat had to stand the whole way which was ages with huge backapacks that i swear have got bigger n heavier since bangkok since its now bulging oops!
arrived on koh pangan got a taxi which seemed really dodgy, to our bungalow turns out to be the nicest resort right on the beach, we over look it, tiny 3 bed room n nasty little shower but itl do. its got a really nice restaurant\bar which we have just eaten at and theres lots of people so really happy.
