Bariloche!
It was a pleasure to arrive in Bariloche after 5 days in hot and polluted Buenos Aires. We took the 20 hour busride from Buenos Aires and arrived in Bariloche quite rested from a good night sleep in our luxury bus:) We even got food on the bus, although it mainly consisted of cookies and chocolates...hehe!
We spent the first day in Barloche just walking around town, and relaxing a little bit on the beach. Bariloche is a famous alpine centre in the winter, and the town looked like it could have been somewhere in the alps. The hotels and hostels had names like Edelweiss, Matterhorn etc, so it is pretty obvious that that was exactly what they were going for. Although the town centre itself is pretty touristy, the town is laid back and relaxed and we had a good time there!
We decided to go horsebackriding the second day in the Parque National Nahuel Huapi, and luckily it was only us and Gustavo-our very friendly guide who did his very best to speak English:) We did a 3 hours ride and enjoyed ourselves, and ended the ride by the lake with a nice dinner inside the camping cabin. In the evening we enjoyed a very well earned jacuzzi session before going out to Wilkennys with some people from our hostel.
We took the cable car up to Cerro Otto the last day, and planned to walk back down again (2 hours). But it was extremely hot and dusty at the top, so we decided to just go for a short walk and treat ourselves to the cable car ride back down again:) At the hostel we spent another session in the jacuzzi before going to a taco party organized by the hostel. At the taco party we met some cool people from Buenos Aires who were VERY interested in talking to us, although they could speak very little English and we very little spanish...hehe. Luckily one of the dutch girls from the hostel was pretty good in spanish so she was nice and translated for us! After the taco party the people wanted to go dancing at a place in the centre, so we decided to join them. I have never felt so stiff in my whole life!!!! Ok, I´ve been to the odd reggaeton party in AK and Ida´s kitchen in Moholt, but this was nothing compared to it!These people could dance, and they tried their very best to teach us also! Needless to say, we had a very funny evening with these people:) And according to them, I look very much like an argentinean:) Maria on the other hand is too blonde and has too pale skin to even resemble one (hahaha!).
