Hello again!!!!!

Well, Christmas has come and gone for another year! I cant believe it! I am now looking forward to new year here in Sydney. That will definately be something to tell the grandchildren wont it!! You know when our midnight comes in in the uk and you normally put it on BBC one as it shows Big ben ticking over, well, because Sydney is one of the first places in the world to see the new year in, BBC one normally show Sydneys celebrations after showing bid ben hitting 12pm. So, have a gander at what i saw 11 hours previously!! In one park alone here in Sydney, there is going to be 72,000 people. And they are clever b******s over here to, they are charging and entry fee to get into parks! And to get a space in a park, you have to get there mid afternoon! So we are currently looking into where we are going to sit to see it all. We have a few options so we will see! We are all chipping in for a nice expensive bottle of champagne for it but knowing us, we will probably end up spilling it all over the grass when midnight strikes! Ha ha!

Oh, by the way, the photo that i have put on this journal entry is of the Blue mountains and how it normally looks when its not pissing it down with rain! It is gorgeous im sure, but unfortunately as you can see in my pictures, we didnt pick the best day to go!

Can i say hi to Gran Catt, Lex, Marla, Nikita, Alex and Maria and thank you all for your message that you put on here on Christmas day. It made me smile! It was good to hear from you all and i am glad you are keeping track of my travels too!!

This is such a good website though! It is such a brilliant way of keeping in contact with everyone. And the fact that i can update it all the time and also put my pictures on here! Its great. I hope no one is having problems logging on again. It seems to be alright now.

My Christmas day was great fun. We got to Bondi beach at about 12 midday and it turned out to be the most gorgeous day weather wise. It was around 35 degrees. We had christmas dinner which consisted of, wait for it, a chicken burger and chips!!! I have a picture of me with it so i will put that on here soon. We sunbathed on the beach with our christmas hats on and then went in and out of Gatecrasher as and when we pleased! Which was good, because the music was pretty heavy going! But you cant really expect much more from Gatecrasher! It was a reunion of Brits aswell. I dont think there was one non-brit there! But the atmosphere was great. We came home at around 10:30pm into the city and decided we wanted to go for a quick drink but everywhere was closed so we went to bed. Then Dad, Louise, Joseph and Matthew called me whilst they were waiting for their turkey to cook! It was really good to hear from you even though it was 2:30am!! I was so jealous that i didnt get a christmas dinner! Although kinglsey cooked me a beautiful one before i came away which was gorgeous!

Other than spending full days on the various beaches here, i havent really been up to much although the real adventures start on January the 5th when me and claire make our way back down to Melbourne. We are then gonna do the grat ocean road to Adelaide. Out of the city...yey!!!!! Proper beaches, proper people!! I cant wait.

I will probably write again after new years eve! But i havent really been doing anything particularly interesting so hopefully my next entry shoulf be a good one!!
