Both woke up around 9am and ate some breakfast before checking out.
We dropped of our bags at the station, where something funny happened to Emelie, as usual.
They had changed our booking so the guy wanted to make sure we had a seat on the bus. When he was looking at the booking he said ( R=Receptionst)
- R : Who is Mrs Manfred
- E: I am
- G: So your husband let you travel but your self, did he?
Your booking is fine.
First we didn't think about it, but after a while we were like " Why did he say that, husband?"
We soon realised it was because Emelie always chooses Mrs, and not Ms when she chooses her status on forms. Hahah! She thought Mrs ment when you are unmarried and Ms when you're married, not the other way around. So it was quite funny!
Then we headed to lake Taupo and walked along the lakeside, it was really beautiful. We will probably write beautiful about everything in every blog text, since everything in NZ is just magically beautiful, so don't hate us for that. Along the way there was a hot stream pumping out from the ground into the water, where Krista dipped her feet. From the look on her face, she really enjoyed it.
We walked back to grab the bus down to Napier, and we arrived around 3pm. We had some problems finding the YHA hostel here as well since the description of how to get to the hostel started on a different road than the one we were on. Apparently they had moved the bus station?
But we made it, dumped our bags in our room and had a quick chat with our roomie and then went out for a walk.
We had got a tip from the girl in the reception to walk up to Buffalo Hill, which was a lookout point over Hawke Bay. At this time we had got used to the cool climate in Rotoura and Taupo so it felt like being back in Asia... So hot on the walk up to the hill! But the view was amazing so it was worth it.
Then we walked back home, ate some lovely canned soup and toast.
