Woke up much refreshed. Packed up and discovered a cool hostel across the road. twin room shared bathroom 60 ringgit with air conditioning. Dumped the packs and went wandering.

Made our way through the city on foot, explored the twin towers and had a look at the aquarium. AMAZING. Saw biggest fish in whole world. Giant fresh water turtle. good fun. Visited the "Malaysia Tourist Centre" Hilarious. Giant government funded organisation in huge mansion. Totally empty, no one there had any idea what they were doing. Had to call about 3 supervisors before we just gave up and left...

We were then accosted by a man pretending to be a monk with photos of a supposed temple to construct. (Gave him 10 ringgit) Penny dropped for James when he began bargaining for more money... Hang on aren't Buddhists monks meant to live without money or possessions? He didn't seem too impressed when I shook my head and said 'saya sangat miskin' (i am very poor)

Headed towards the KL tower, climbing up through very pretty gardens. Stunning views of the surrounding concrete jungle of high-rises. Clambered into a cab and went back to hostel. Very good timing as a torrential down pour soon followed.
