hello from a rather soggy and bedraggled ben and emma!
its been raining the last couple of days and windy for even longer, so its a bit rubbish when you're in a campervan and new zealand consists of mostly outdoor activities!
having said that we have had some really lovely weather the last few weeks.

since the last update we have been sailing in the bay of islands and lots of beach days with ben surfing and em body boarding.

we have a crazy fun time in waitomo caves, consisting of abseiling down a scarey 40m drop, caving, zip wire into pitch black glow worm covered abyss, and climbing up waterfalls with torrents of water between our legs!

ben went fishing for kingfish (which are like tuna on steriods!); the biggest of which ben lost when a 4m bronze whaler shark bit it in half just below the boat! we did end up with some nice dinner eventually.

now on the coromandel peninsular, and going to watch a surfing comp tomorrow, then make our way to the east coast.
