2:30 in the afternoon and it's already worth writing a blog. Managed to secure a bed for my last 2 nights in Paris so that's one less thing I have to worry about.
Went to the Effiel tower today an was planning on climbing the 1665 steps to the top. But get there and found out that you can't so climbed to the 2nd floor and then took the elevator to the top. Not much to speak of other than the fact that the views are pretty spectacular and the climb up the 700 steps to the 2nd level is easy enough.
There is a champagne bar at the top. Not cheap but figured why not. It's not everyday that you get to sip champagne 322 metres above ground in the open air.
The other thing I still hadn't done in Paris was try some macaroons so found the best place in Paris along the champs-élysées and sat along the strip munching away on macaroons. I have to say that they are in a completely different league to the ones in Australia. I dare you to try to green tea and wasabi one. That is something else.
Now I must choose what to do next perhaps the Pompidou centre. Then Finally the pub crawl tonight
