This is what it's all about. Sitting outside at a hipster bar with a glass of cheap red wine, they're very generous with the glass size as well, and a good book just before midnight. It's a time that would be better shared with company but on your own it's still just as fun. I think I'm a bit too early for the really drunk crowds but then again it is a Monday night.
One thing I've noticed is that PEOPLE ACTUALLY DRINK FOSTER'S HERE I don't know of anyone back home that drinks that crap but the French and the Canadians around here seem to love it. It's not even that cheap. These people are crazy. But then again don't knock it until to try it I suppose.
Yeah once is enough. However it's a good conversation starter. Especially at a Canadian bar.
It seems to take ages to find the places that I want to go but so far it's always been worth it. Screw the tourist spots go for the cheap and cheerfuls down a back alley. However these are the places that you seem to find the homeless and poor. It's nice when they assume that you're French but then they try and explain their story without knowing what they're saying it's not hard I understand what they want. Change and/or a cigarette. Say that you don't speak French and it turns into a game of 20 questions. Say 'pas du change' most of the time they walk on. This toe isn't much different to Melbourne except the public transport runs like clockwork and the streets are confusing.
On a side note managed to get the pub crawl moved to tomorrow without having to pay extra so that's on the agenda for tomorrow night
On a second side note the place I'm staying only allows you to book two night's at a time so hopefully I'll be able to re-book tomorrow without hassle if not I'll have to find somewhere else which won't be difficult but no something I don't want to have to do.
Tomorrow I do the catacombs of Paris.
A la prochaine
