Time for my first blog entry! I'm not exactly in Brisbane - just in transit at the airport waiting for our connection to New Zealand. The sun is shining but we can only see it through the windows at the moment. Thought I'd write a quick update of our HongKong trip. If I had to sum up my experience of HongKong in 3 words I would say - bustling, cold, and neon - if you've been ther you'll know what I mean! We managed to pack quite a lot in - saw the symphony of lights (loads of huge skyscrapers on the island playing with their lights to music), went up Victoria Peak on the tram, which was so, so steep! Hong Kong park and aviary were cool for free attractions, and the ten thousand buddhas monastery was amazing - worth the slope and 400 steps to reach it! Can't put my pictures up yet and dont have time to write much detail, but that sums up most of my sightseeing so far. Aside from that have discovered my amazing ability to sleep anywhere, that I crave English food when none is in sight and that neon lights look really like daylight from inside a hostel room!

Looking forward to NewZealand now....
