Finally back from five nights of camping during Leeds festival. Much more gruelling than Boardmasters which in comparison was a hygienic breeze. Was horrified by the toilets, and had to swiftly lower my expectations which had been set by my first festival. Leeds was filth, but that's how it should be.
Luckily the weather was much better. No days were cancelled and we enjoyed seeing acts, for the majority of the time, in the sun.
Experienced a lot of drunken people urinating whilst bands were playing. Some part of my own company. And some complete strangers who enjoyed throwing it in the air. The worst of all being one guy, running around a circle of strangers trying to wee on them.
Best act would have to be the not too well known Sunset Sons who were unbelievably talented. Also was happily amazed by the humble jimmy eat world, flume, clean bandit, the hives, imagine dragons and as always Bombay bicycle club.
Yet again I was fortunate to be with a great group of people. And although I was adamant that I didn't need to be looked after, Lew and Alex truly looked out for me to such a selfless extent.
Even the people camping near us were great. Most of all the stoners behind us, hypnotised by the gummy bear tent.
