Seven hours spent travelling to get to New Quay. So worth it! The views are breathtaking and the weather utterly beautiful. Considering the sun has quite an elusive character here in England, it's being very brave and loyal here at Boardmasters.
Getting through security took a very long time. But my stash of apples promoted a good image of character and the security guard did not fully search my bag and take out prohibited items, no complaints there. Plus Kay's ingenious alcohol stash in caprisun bottles worked a treat especially once she bonded with her security guard after her plunged his hand into unbeaten chicken and mayonnaise
Camp didn't take long to set up but the trek to the VIP area did. Thankfully Kay did the hardwork whilst the rest of us 'supervised' Once we set up we headed out to have a look around. Fawning over the dominoes stall and other such enticing stores.
Met up with Jayne and her brigade who had to camp further away from us. And went down to the beach. It was very late and torches were needed. Was good to meet so many new people.
So now it's the first morning and I'm first up to wriggle out of the tent and bask in the sun. Freshly baby wiped and ready for the first day
