Koh Panghan is the third leg of our trip and oh my, this place is pretty. It's like paradise island.. We had private transfers to our hotel, talk about travel in style (well it was a tuk tuk), but considering all other passengers had to faff about getting a taxi- we felt pretty important!
Got to the hotel and it's one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in.. Its incredible- we were upgraded yet again, which I'm not complaining about and it's on a private beach with a pool on the beach. It's safe to say I'm in heaven.. I've just watched the sun set on the sea and it's made my day..
We all discovered that this hotel has free wifi so have been taking full advantage of catching up with you lot back home.. Skyping with the girls and family <3 .. Loved our pool chat with Miss Irvine and can't wait to see her when she flies to Ameriiica :) :) .. Attempting to upload my photos, but it's a mish- and doesn't seem to be too successful!
1st night in Koh Panghan was very boring.. None of us were on top form.. Elena felt a little ill, I felt sick and the others were all mega mega tired.. So we watched friends at a cafe.. The tan episode, which is my FAV.. "Monica dahling, Amanda calling"... Then retired to bed at a pitiful eleven o'clock. However... A massive, and I mean MASSIVE spider that was like an athlete runner felt that it wanted to make an appearance in mine & Josie's room.. s***ting myself is the only way to describe how scared I was. Josie and Goon had to go and get reception to kill it.. I've never seen anything like it!! Trying to get to sleep did not happen when I felt like spiders wanted to hunt us down for killing his friend :S
Woke up on Saturday and my body looked like a dot to dot with about a hundred Mossi bites.. Okay, that's an exaggeration, but I am covered and have one on my massive chin! Bad times! Me and Goon are unlucky with our bites!
Soooooooo our first official night on this island was one of the best nights so far!! Pre drinks before we went out consisted of playing ride the bus and Laughing about old memories...Goon came out with that she wanted to learn to shuffle cards as she plays UNO once a week, we're slightly worried about this girl.
We finished our vodka early (which was probs a sign that it was going to get messy) and we walked down to the beach and found this bar that had lots of fire tricks going on. Seran jumped on a fire skipping rope - very impressive! Me, Josie and Seran played musical chairs... I won a free drink for coming 3rd and Seran won!! Dancing, shoulder rides, wigs and Irish boys is what this bar was made up off. Seran, Elena and Goon headed home about 3ish and for some unknown reason me and Josie thought it would be a good idea to stay out... we went to another bar, sat on the beach with a random group and stayed chatting until 7am and watched the sun rise! I can officially say that ive watched the sunrise on one of the prettiest beaches ever...Met this Irish gay man who was brilliant!! Somehow I ended up with his room key after he spent about an hour looking for it on the beach... Ooooopsie! we contemplated not going to bed and just sleeping on the sun loungers, but with Josie's reputation of burning we didn't think this was a good idea!
"Sunday sesh" is what we got up to on Sunday with a mini pool party in our hotel.. Chilled out day which was much needed after last nights antics!
Sunday evening we went out for "a couple" of drinks as we have the half moon party on Monday... But after a few beverages at a pool party we ended up in at 4am! It was a cracking night- met some Canadian guys who taught us the bucket dance, Canadian accents and Impressions! Elena was loving her Lloyd Grossman impression which kept changing from British to American to Irish...! Seran decided it would be funny to push an israeli guy in the pool then someone got their own back and Seran ended up in the pool fully clothed.. Karma I say! Other highlights of the night was boring Rory, speedo jokes and fat ginger discussions. One of the best nights so far!
Our last day in Koh Phangan.. We had to move hotels and have been ruined by Steve and at a not very pleasant hotel.. Seran has already had a cockroach run across her bed! Good job we wont actually be sleeping tonight as it's the HALF MOON party!! Were all fancy dressed up in our I love Phangan tops and UV paints.. Only issue we have is that we have an 8 o'clock (am) transfer that will take 10 hours back to Bangkok! Our plan is not to sleep all night.. Holy moly- I will be extremely grumpy!
Half moon party was banginnnnng.. Not what I expected at all and the music was pants but we were all in good spirits and had a fab night.. Two of the staff from the hotel (Edwards and beefy isabella) were our tour guides for the first part showing us the tricks of the trade... The girls left about 5ish and yet again me and Josie stayed out until 7am with my new gay best friend Kevin and a massive group of people raving it up... We got a lift back on a motorbike to our hotel had about an hour kip and almost missed our transfer.. That could've been disastrous!
This is our last night in Thailand :( sad sad times!! Been an awesome experience annnnnnd Sydney shall be our next stop.. 42 wallaby way sydney.. Were coming Nemo :)
Will be in touch soon after Sydney!
Byeeee loveys :) <3
