Well Brighton has turned out to be a rather nice place, contrary to my first postcard.___________________________________
After eventually getting my bed sorted I went for a wander around town, got my photos put to CD and proceeded to have a lovely (if not a little strange) conversation with the girl in the photo shop about all things death related, including a discussion about different monuments around the globe that use this very subject as their focus (including the already visited parisian catacombs, cupuchin monks in Rome, highgate cemetary (london - the subject of the photos developed), and a church that I apparently 'must see' just out of Prague called the Kostnice (or 'bone church').___________________________________
Photos developed and with more additions to my 'must see' list, I headed for the famous Brighton Pier (once known as the Palace Pier) via the narrow winding streets in the centre of historic Brighton - the Lanes.

In the last two weeks I've stayed in Brighton, Oxford, Cambridge, Liverpool, Manchester and Glasgow (just about to leave for Edinburgh). All have been loads of fun and I've met some really great people. Met two lovely girls in Brighton (Jo and Kirrli) whom I shared many drinks and laughs about life abroad and back home (& the usual girly banter about boys! :o) ). I also got to check out a guy called Mark Wilson at the Brighton Comedy Festival and managed to get roped into the act (will be more details on the brighton postcard).
