Hi.. and welcome to my site :o) Well it's been almost 7 months and I'm still counting. It feels like only yesterday that I left Oz to pursue a dream of exploring the world in a massive adventure to span the majority of Europe and possibly 2 years. The plan is to base myself in the UK and work in a few different locals to give myself a taste of local culture and keep my funding up. In between work I have loads of play planned :o) England sightseeing until August; Mykonos in August; France, Italy, Germany and the Netherlands in Sept/Oct; Sightseeing in Scotland until January; then Scandinavia in Jan/Feb 06; then back to the UK again for a month or two with a follow up in Eastern Europe towards mid 06. After that… who knows! I’m just taking it all as it comes and having as many laughs along the way as possible. Enjoy the site! Please post any comments on the message board (or harass me there for not sending emails! lol) and let me know if you have any problems accessing anything. Oh, and please keep in touch! Hugs & Kisses, Elizabeth xxx First stop: Singapore. I was excited, and very sweaty (29'C when I landed at 9.45pm at night!!). My week entailed exploring the island, tasting all of the local cuisine (thanks to the food walk organised by Tony & TK at Betel Box - a hostel you MUST check out if in Singapore), and of course drinking a little alcohol (while watching football with the English lads and having the obligatory Singapore sling at Raffles). After Singapore I settled down in London town for a whole 4 days before spontaneously deciding, while sinking a few pints with Martin (a fellow traveler at the end of his trip – see Paris postcard), to jump on a bus to Paris for the week.. and why not? Neither of us had been there before :o) So it was off to Paris. Staying in a mobile home on the banks of the Seine, we went up and down the Eiffel, took a flying visit to see Mona, and ate loads of snails and other slimy gastropods. Paris all over and done with, Martin and I said goodbye and I settled down into my new home at the Leinster Inn and proceeded to do the interview hopping dance. I found a lovely group of people and began working with DL (a recruitment agency) pretty much straight away. So after about 5 months of cheeky sneekies (a.k.a. after work drinks) had taken their toll on my liver (oh.. I did some work too :o) ) I decided it was time to pack up and go on a trip around Europe. First it was Mykonos for a week in August.. which was a blast on all accounts. And then in September with a lovely group of 36, I set off from London to France, Italy, Germany and the Netherlands – briefly passing through Austria and Belgium. Loads of drinks (especially in Florence and at Oktoberfest in Germany) and laughs later we arrived back in London – to warm beds and showers (see postcards for an account of the trip). That’s it for the moment. I’m heading to Scotland in about 2 weeks which will be a ball – although ****ing freezing I’m told! ‘Til next time, Ciao, Elizabeth xxx.

G'Day,
How are you? It's my day off today and I thought I might take some time and look at your site. There's some very familiar pic I see, you make me want to pack my bags again and go traveling :) But its winter over there and your prob freezing your butt off. Being March and all in Melbourne, its still hot, And I'm liking the sun, beach, bbq and drinking beer and wine. I miss ya though, I'm still going out to restaurants to wine and dine, I take Simon with me, but its not the same, he doesn't like seafood. But he'll still help me knock off a bottle of wine. I haven't really been anywhere, But Archie's getting married and I'm going to India for three weeks to see the wedding along with Kristy and Kim. That should fun! and a much thinner version of Bridget is back (from India), boy has she immersed herself in the Indian culture, bumped into here in the city not long ago and she was wearing a sari with the sandles and long beaded earings, it was wierd, because she hadn't seen me for about six months and I've lost a lot of weight since being in hospital. So we must have been staring at one another for a while until we spoke. But yeah, not much has happened, as you'll see when ya get back. Oh I was going to purchase a phone card to call you, but when I was asked what country, I had no clue where you were? well I see your having a ball, and drinking heaps! Miss you lots, take good care of yourself after all there's only one lizard : P - love sal.

Hey Libs! Sounds like you're having a great time! Im so jealous! Especially that you go to be at such a cool Harry Potter launch - Kirsty and Me just lined up at 8.30 at Book City in Echuca, making sure no lil kids tried to steal our spot at the very front of the line! Excitment! haha. Did you know that Kirst's pregnant? She's due in about.......3 to 4 weeks now, and she's HUGE! Its very cute tho, her and chugga are very excited (and so's aunty el!!!). Hmm.....not really much news that I can think of from Echuca...... just Echuca really! Anyways, im going to have to get going, take care and ill be back again soon - im still trying to get thru the last group email and the photos help lol. Keep having a great time and take care! :) El

Hi Liz, sounds like your having a hell of a time. My journey has come to an end and I'm flying back to the sunny Southern part of the world tomorrow night. It snowed here in Swindon once or twice but nothing too serious. Well, enjoy yourself, and I'm looking forward to seeing all your pics,
Cheers,

Aloha there once again!
And once again the Melbourne weather had turned on us and we're having a relatively cooler night
than last night! Still, i'm drinking a few (again not drink lol) on another boring night of nothing to do.
Miss you round to actually have some drinking competition with, cos this is just beast quite frankly!
Well glad to hear about the snow and i'm a bit iffy on the mulled wine idea - i'm more prone to a
Henesey or maybe a goon bag on the washing line :P
Still, glad to hear you're ripping up yet another counrty to the fine trends of the oz life and partying
somewhat hard (despite all the work - don't i know what that's like!! ARGH). The bond of the group
that was you may have dissolved the posse, but we still drink.... and wherever i was going with that
has been lost on me so i'll stop :P
Have a blast, party hard, resist the mulled stuff :P and i hope i'm not an international sms flirt.... hahaha :P
miss ya and love from us all!!
hey who let bernard fanning yabber on so much on rage i mean c'mon........
Elizabeth
Well you should have seen my jaw drop and the big grin on my face when I saw ure msg Rach :o) definitely nice to hear from you! (as unlikely as it normally is online) As for a white Christmas, your comment came with good timing because as I was walking to work this morning (about half an hour ago) it began snowing :o) Apparently we're due to have the coldest winter Scotland has seen in 50 years (will definitely get me acclimatised for Scandinavia in January); looks like we'll be having a white December as well as a white Christmas! :----------: Also glad to hear you're still having the odd cocktail or two :o) I'm hanging out for some mulled wine at the moment (for those of you who dont know what mulled wine is - naive me didn't before I reached the UK - its warm wine with spices and stuff - forget the scarf and gloves.. give me mulled wine to warm me up any day *grin* ) :----------: I am still in Edinburgh at the moment, doing loads of temp jobs so thus have new people, a new company, and new role every week or so - quite fun considering my constant thirst for change :o) As for Edinburgh as a whole, it's a lot quieter and smaller than my preconceptions, however I have to say that it is one of, if not the most aesthetically pleasing city I have visited so far. Just last night I was walking home on my normal route down Princes St (the main road) with Edinburgh Castle perched up high in the skyline.. fire works and fairy lights abound! Was planning on doing some hiking or sorts over the weekend, however with the sudden change in weather I may have to reconsider.. but then again, a little snow and coldness never killed anyone (well maybe a few ppl! :op ). :----------: Anyway thats enough from me for now.. better get back to work! Hugs & Kisses, Elizabeth xxx

Hey Libs...Im sure you will be very shocked...amazed....even bewildered that I am writing a message on your message board :0) Very sorry it has taken me so long to check out your site, i did a while ago but only at the pics....you know me! Anyway life is pretty cruisy for me at the moment, finished uni for the year (get results monday :-/ ), working casually at Alkira during the week as well as the rec. program and trying to save...heh..trying to save for a holiday to surfers at start of next year. I cant believe it is nearly Christmas, it would be awesome if you could have a white chrissie, but i have to say iam very excited that summer is almost here...although with a sigh i have to say it wont be the same without you, my cocktai drinking buddy! (Rather funny and cute when i finished my exams mat took me out for cocktails, i've got to give him credit for trying to fill your place while you are gone lol :0)...) Well I've just finished work and it was a fantastically hot day so i might have to go have a beer....Keep having a blast, take care (the mum in me) on your travels and miss you heaps!!!!! hugs and kisses Rach xxxx
