Did you known that Arnold Schwarzenneger was from Vienna? "I'll be baaack!"
We only had one day and night in Vienna, so we had to make it count! We did a quick little driving tour before checking in at the Wombats hostel (seriously fantastic hostel... If you're ever in Vienna stay there!), and then we went out on our own. A group of us meandered around, saw some very cool buildings, the ruins and the parliament buildings. Found the galleries with a massive cutout of a naked man, and finished off with some hot chocolate and hot wine in a Christmas market. (Are you noticing a Christmas market trend just yet?) Finished the evening with some Asian noodles (with extra veggies... Not alot of veggies in Europe apparently....) And then hung out in the hostel bar. It was a really cool basement bar, with a fantastic atmosphere. I can now say I've done my first flaming shot (mom, I know how much you used to like flaming shots!!), as we did a flaming b52, and sucked it back through a straw while it was still on fire!
Unfortunately, once I arrived to the next destination, I discovered that I lost my iPod, sometime in Vienna or on the way to Budapest. Sad face. Music, I will miss you!!!
iPod, you were too tiny, and I'm surprised you lasted as long as you did.
Dear whoever has my iPod,
I sincerely hope you enjoy 75% country, and the rest of my music. If anything, listen to Andrew Allen, and pass his music on to your friends, and I won't hate you for having my iPod instead of me....
