So basically friends, I'm just as awful at blog updates, as I was at mass email updates. Oops!
Anyways... I've got some time, so I'll keep
You all updated.
On the sixteenth of October, I took a quick little flight over to Dublin, Ireland. I had 2 nights to see what I could see. Honestly, I feel like I could have used my time better, but these things happen. I'll just have to go back and visit again. When I first was able to check in to my hostel, I took a little nap, and woke up to Aussies in the room. Met them, and decided to hang out. True to very one's prediction's of seeing lots of Aussies while in Europe, my friends hostel friends I made fit the bill.
We went and saw the Guinness brewery, and learned all about how its made, how its marketed, and even how it's poured. Finishing off the tour with a pint of Guinness (completed with four leaf clover shape poured into the head) atop the brewery in the 360° bar. You could see all of Dublin. Twas pretty cool!
Then came dinner, and our own little pub crawl. I left the boys still partying hard at the club at 3am.... just couldn't keep up! Haha
The next day I took a tour of the Old Jameson Distillery, and went through the leprechaun museum. Which was really cool! Not just about leprechauns, I heard tales of other Irish folklore, as well as learned that the leprechaun we recognize today is completely different than those of the folklore, and we have Mr Walt Disney to thank for that. If you're ever in Dublin, I would definitely reccomend checking it out!
