This week was intented to be a week of prep and rest before we embark on our big trip to Italy. Even though we've eaten lots of chicken (every day this week) and not been able to sleep past 7 AM we still have had a break from the busy hub-bub of our Kentucky lives.
Annette asked me what I would like to do with our final day here in Virginia and I said I really wanted to see the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel (CBBT) and as it turns out we had a gorgeous day to enjoy the ships out on the bay, the eagles on their nests and the tractors with treads like tanks!!
We had enough time to head back to our apartment do laundry, was dishes eat chicken two more times and begin our packing, planning and praying for the next leg of our trip and no is not a chicken leg!
Please pray for us as we fly standby tomorrow and leave our country, familes and friends for a short period of time. Pray that our health stays good, our spirits stay strong and our heads remain clear. I am excited and scared all at the same time....I remember leaving to head to Merritt Island Florida for the Lord's Bootcamp and having these very same feelings!
I personally can't wait to meet the house mother we are to stay with and experience all of the Siena and European life we possibly can!
Annette and I went into a local pack and ship and threw our VA stuff in a box to wait for us in KY. We met the owner of the shop who was Chinese and had two little Wiener Dogs running about the store. I wish I could have gotten some pics of the two adorable dogs...."Lady" and "Tiger"! They allowed me to satisfy my puppy need missing my Miley pup by allowing me to hold them both. Lady seemed to like me a lot and didn't want me to put her down. Tiger was a very unique little dog.....he had spots much like a hunting dog...hard to describe but sorta kinda like a Bluetic Coon Hound in the shape of a wiener dog! And he had one blue eye! TOO CUTE!!
Well that's all I got! Thanks for Tuning in! Hope to have more tomorrow if not then the next day details on Sienese life!
